Made of fresh fruits and berries, the eau de vie are elaborated in the respect of old traditions. Kirsch is the oldest eau de vie and appeared in the 18th century. Eau de vie are traditionnally offered at the end of a meal and must be served very cold, almost frozen. Kirsch is perfect to flavour mousses, creams or biscuits, like in the famous Forêt Noire.
The distillery Wolfberger Kuhri cultivates with passion the secret of its art for more than 100 years. Kuhri is located in Colmar, in the heart of Alsace, a region with many gastronomic traditions. The mild climate and exceptional diversity make this region a favourite place for fruits growing. Kuhri has its own orchads - more than 100 hectares and 50,000 trees selected - to get fruits only used for the distillation of eau de vie and liqueurs.
