A speciality by the Confiserie du Roy René and emblem of Aix en Provence, the Calisson d’Aix combines the flavours of finely crushed almonds, candied melon and orange peel, presented on a wafer bed and coated with a royal icing. It is made entirely with natural products from the Mediterranean, without any added colouring or preservatives.
Today, the Confiserie du Roy René’s Calisson is further complemented by a range blending tradition and innovation : mini-calissons in flower and fruit flavours as well as savoury mini-calissons for the aperitif.
